You’ll need 3-4 hours to explore all of the national histories at Petroglyph. There are many different trails to choose from, with the longest being just over 2 hours long. You’ll see some spectacular views overlooking the valley and Sandias en route (bring your camera!). And the incredible petroglyphs are scattered all over the area, which can make it a fun treasure hunt too. It’s a great way to get out of the city without travelling too far. Just make sure you bring your dessert boats because it gets sandy!

2. Sandia Peak Tramway

This tramway stretches from the northeast edge of Albuquerque to the Sandia Mountains. You will be on the tram for 30 minutes from one side to the other.
